9AM-NOON

Lakshmi and the Churning of the Ocean

What if we didn’t shy away from the parts of ourselves we think are bad, or that we don’t know what to do with? When we fragment ourselves and hide specific pieces we hinder our own potential: to refine our mind, to live the life we believe in, to strengthen and share our gifts and talents. This myth exemplifies the need to re-member all of ourselves and maintain a consistent practice of exploration, responsibility, and honesty to be able to live our fullest life. It reminds us there is no evil inside, only undirected energy. It shows us the path towards courage and acceptance for all that life will inevitably bring.

This workshop includes an hour of story-telling and discussion, followed by a slow-paced asana class intended to help you find a meditative flow through breath, movement, and especially stillness.

3 in-person CECs available for Yoga Alliance.

Journey into Self: Ananda Health & Wellness Center's 200-hour teacher training

This training is wisdom-based and movement-based, meaning that while you learn the philosophical origins and intentions for consciousness that is the yogic path, you will also learn how to stand in front of a room and safely guide others through a physical practice with subtle body benefits. This comes from up-leveling yourself, so even if you don't imagine teaching in the future (never say never), this is the work that will change your life in the way that YOU choose. This is your activation of your soul study, and it takes tremendous courage to break yourself apart in order to grow larger. Consider this an introductory course into a layered and historically rich world. To learn more about what will be specifically offered, and the other teachers involved, redirect yourself here.

We will practice creating from this knowledge, and collaboratively build parallels between alignment principles and yogic philosophies.
